  1. A well of clear glass,

    like a drop from a rain-pouring cloud.

  2. It appears before both eyes clad in armor,

    whose redness is like the blood of a nosebleed.

  3. So it is a heart, and its armor is like the heart’s membrane.

    Its spring is black as a raven.

  4. So it and the droplets it holds

    are like darkness wrapped in dawn.

  5. And the casing it includes

    is like a casket with the daughter of shells within.
