And a house for the daughters of the air,

that does not hide those within;

which does not conceal whoever is within;

حفيظ للذي استحفظ

حفيظ للذي استحفظ

لكن لا يواريه

لكن لا يواريه

a faithful guardian of whatever it is entrusted with,

a guardian of what it was entrusted to keep,

yet does not conceal it.

حكت أعمدة الفضة

والتبر سواريه

والتبر سواريه

Like columns of silver

Like columns of silver

and pure gold are its pillars;

and gold were its pillars;

فمن مثل قنا الخط

فمن مثل قنا الخط

ثراه وأعاليه

ثراه وأعاليه

for the like of al-Khatt’s famed lances make up

and of the like of al-Khatt’s spears

its base and its upper reaches.
