Sol 6.1

  1. Say to whoever envies you,

    beating both his sides over it:

  2. His two eyes have seen what

    he had disbelieved when his ears heard it.

  3. And he saw the heart of a glory

    that had risen beyond both its bounds.

  4. He said, 'How long will you keep pouring

    thanks and praise upon him?'

  5. I said, 'All our thanks

    are but some traces of his two hands.

  6. For he has shown us kindness,

    and we long for him.'
