1. By remembering You we seek sufficiency, and You alone we worship.

    And You are the One we invoke, and You we affirm as One.

  2. And who would hope in anyone but You, while ceaselessly

    blessings from Your bounty are renewed among us?

  3. You guided us to Islam as Your first favor,

    and how many favors after it are beyond counting!

  4. And You freed us from want and spared us

    hardships that, but for You, would not have been averted.

  5. So, by God, but for God no eye would gaze,

    and by God, but for God no hand would strike.

  6. So, O you who seek refuge at a door other than His,

    awake! There is none but God; no hand has struck.

  7. If today you trust a created being,

    then who will guarantee that creature for you, if tomorrow comes?

  8. Reflect, for God's handiwork—exalted be His praise—

    bears witness against you to God's oneness.

  9. And among His kindnesses—glory be to Him—toward His servants

    is an imam, aided by divine decree and guided aright.

  10. He protected Islam's heartland, his gaze lowered;

    he tightened the bonds of monotheism, and the sword...

  11. And in the affair he sought help only from his Lord;

    for that, his enemies rise and sit in agitation.

  12. For him God united religion and worldly life;

    and who has united the two abodes but one divinely aided?

  13. So in every lowland is a garden for recreation,

    and in every upland a mosque for night prayer.

  14. And who is like the Commander of the Faithful, who holds

    the secret of God's command and is made everlasting?

  15. The caliphate over the Muslims' affairs is a necklace;

    this wearer matches it in worth.

  16. Watering places guarded by spearheads and sword-edges:

    so whoever wishes, let him approach a watering place of death.

  17. Its mirage deceives the minds of doubters,

    and beneath it is nothing but the unsheathed sword.

  18. So we, praise be to God, are in the shade of a blessing:

    a heavenly sovereign and a firmly established kingdom.

  19. We are safe from what we fear through the blessing of a caliph,

    for whom justice is armor and supplication an Indian-steel sword.

  20. So tell the enemies: submit before a battle

    that will be a blazing ember upon you.

  21. If what you hoped for was far from you yesterday,

    then its attainment is even farther from you today.

  22. God has decreed that the oath-breakers are abased,

    and that the Commander of the Faithful is Muhammad.
