  2. And are your neighbors your enemies, or your protectors?

    And are Jesus’ enemies the Muslims, or the Turks?

  3. So did Jesus seek vengeance through obscenity?

    And were oppression and treacherous killing part of his character?

  4. Your kings have admitted to the rancor in their souls;

    and for whoever was in doubt, the doubt has vanished.

  5. Is there in every land a host bearing evil,

    and in every sea a ship hurtling forth with harm?

  6. Come, then: the calamity you spread

    upon the East is nothing but a dire place of judgment for you.

  7. The East complained of you to your partisans, but they turned away;

    so it returned to its swords and spears, complaining.

  8. The firmly rooted mountains shall crash down upon you,

    yet this caliphate and kingship shall not pass away.
