  1. Abd al-Aziz is enthroned,

    Yielding to the passions of youth.

  2. Yet he is well equipped;

    With it he felt safe from the enemy and was at ease.

  3. What blame is his if he pelts the

    aggressor with goblets of wine,

  4. while another pelts with talis-

    mans the foes, and with the Book?
