  1. O you who promised me my reward

    On Thursday—greetings!

  2. Thirty days have passed

    Since Thursday, to the day.

  3. And you have kept no promise,

    Nor have you honored a bond.

  4. How long shall I call on you, my helper,

    And you not answer—how long?

  5. And where will you accomplish a task,

    And how will you achieve a goal,

  6. If your day is a month,

    And your month is a year?

  7. By breaking your word, you have, in my eyes, gone against

    The noble—O son of the noble!
