فأعجز عزمي عن محاربة الدنيا

I see Fate seeking my death, utterly merciless;

so I restrain my resolve from waging war on the world.

And so it has left my resolve powerless to battle the world.

I am as a Boer whose blade has shattered,

As though I were a Boer whose blade had shattered,

met in battle by an army from the hosts of Britain.

And one of Britain's armies confronted him.
