though I know what they are doing.

  9. Nor do I proclaim hopes at random,

but I am the fairest of reckoners.

  10. And indeed, for him who bore the burden of

his trusts, I am the sincerest of the radiant ones.

who counts the stars against those who keep vigil.

  12. He seeks perfection from the learned,

out of loyalty to Egypt—and they are capable.

  13. And nothing is nobler than righteous deeds

for one who wishes to please the usurpers.
