Sol 6.1

  1. Today light has filled the horizon of the realm.

And glad tidings have brightened the dawn of kingship.

  2. So every eye is raised toward you today,

And every heart rejoices in what you have been granted.

  3. You came in the sultan's robes of honor, adorned

By a train trailing across the stars of al-Zahra.

  4. As though you had woven them in the gardens—there appeared

Rain, and so their splendor is drenched in beauty.

  5. And you went forth on a steed that raced like an eagle,

And in its saddle were generosity, glory, and goodness.
