  1. They brought forward every sturdy, lean-bellied, rutting camel,

    Massive, its upper back packed tight with fat.

  2. So if you barter or buy on credit from a man,

    Then let no obscure possessor of two thousand deceive you.

  3. Until, when its fringes rose aloft, they broke apart,

    And a cloud burst open, rent by the downpour, its belly split.

  4. And the east wind tossed it seventy times; to you it seemed

    As though it lay hamstrung opposite al-Fawr.
