Sol 6.1

  1. Had your belly been a handspan, you would have eaten your fill and

    left much bread for the poor.

  2. So if a calamity of time should strike you,

    we would mourn neither worldly life nor faith in you.

  3. You have kept studying the surah al-A‘raf,

    until your heart is like silken cloth in softness.

  4. Indeed, a man whose client I was, who then neglected me,

    and who hopes for success, is in my eyes a true dupe.
