  1. More delightful than the company of bottles,

    or making requests of singing slave girls,

  2. is punching a young man of Banū Lukayz,

    bestowing on him the mildest humiliation.

  3. A hulking, full-grown camel lunged at him,

    grinding his temples with the underside of its neck.

  4. Then a people's avenger got the better of him,

    by hand at times, and by tongue.

  5. And he used to fart silently; now he truly

    farts aloud for fear of Muḍriṭān.
