My passion for you—how delightful and sweet it is!
And in loving you, I bid my sickness welcome, a warm welcome.
That gazelle of yours, whose beauty is guarded—
In love, my heart has never yearned for anyone but him.
He revealed himself to every eye; then, when
His beauty had captivated all hearts, he veiled himself.
O our beloveds, is there a worshipper in your sanctuary?
Brief moments of union—all of them the season of youth.
