فاندب الأطلال والدمنا
Indeed, the one you love has departed.
Those I adore have abandoned me
So mourn the ruins and the campsite traces.
So I lament the ruins and our past

Deceiving those who parted from us

Neighbors, by Allah, after them
I have found neither beauty nor anyone beautiful.
I did not find beauty or connection

So dress me in longing as my shroud

The one I nurtured disappeared
