مصرEgypt منof أهوالهاits terrors حتىuntil تثبshe leaps ؟
مصر من أهوالها حتى تثب ؟
The world has cried out—what, then, does
The world roared, so what catastrophes does Egypt expect before it rises?
Egypt await of its terrors before she leaps?
The world roared at the horror that left the whole world in turmoil.

The world has cried out at the terror that
Did the Nile flood or turn into lava or wrath pouring down?
Left the whole world trembling.
I see Egypt suffering vertigo, and when it awakens, it starts wailing.

The Nile's water seethed, or turned to
Egypt, O Egypt, and what good is crying?
Lava, or vengeance poured forth from it.
Rage, O Egypt, like a lion pounce!

And I see Egypt struggling with a stupor,
Rage, O Egypt, or else accept the shackles of humiliation and be content with war.
And when she wakes, she turns away to sob?
Is this really Egypt I see? Another nation and an overturned people!

Egypt, O Egypt, what good is weeping?
Or have the days come full circle and now the lion mews like a kitten?
A surge of wrath, O Egypt, like a lion springing!
We never knew Egypt to be ridden like a docile camel by whoever wished to mount it!

A surge of wrath, O Egypt—or else walk on
When camels sense their death, they disable the rider without the saddle.
In the chains of humiliation, and be content with despoilment.
When Egypt raged, its rage frightened even the West when it raged.

Is this, then, Egypt—or what do I see?
It unleashed a roaring cry like the rumbling thunder of turbulent clouds.
Another nation, and a people transformed!
The West listened to it and the world's ears heard it from behind barriers.

Or have the days, perhaps, taken a turn,
Oppression felt a shudder run through it like creeping dread.
And behold, the lions are sheep being milked?
It did not deter us when it violently attacked the messengers of truth like firewood foragers.

We never knew Egypt to be ridden, her back
Souls flowed in it and the soil of glory was watered after drought.
Like a docile she-camel's, mounted by whoever wished!
Time recorded it among its artifacts as a glowing ember at the start of eras.

Riding beasts, when they fear their doom,
This, O Egypt, is your history, so remember what you have undergone and pursue the best path.
Destroy their driver rather than perish themselves!
Return the ball, fear no dispersion, and overcome fragmentation through determination.
