يُذكِّرك المسكُ أنفاسَها

يُذكِّرك المسكُ أنفاسَها

A rose has come to you, O Abu Amir;

musk reminds you of her breath.

كعذراءَ أبصرَها مُبصِرٌ

كعذراءَ أبصرَها مُبصِرٌ

فَغَطَّت بأكمامها رَاسَها

فَغَطَّت بأكمامها رَاسَها

Like a maiden whom an onlooker saw,

and who then covered her head with her sleeves.
