Have you not stopped at the timeworn camp ruins,

the tribe’s dwellings in years gone by?

Every rain-bearing cloud has effaced them, as has the passage

of days and nights since you left.

So it left but little of their recognizable traces,

unable to answer when asked a question.

They dwelt there, and every delight of life

in this world comes to an end.

They were the protectors, and among them were

men of bounty and long-reaching hands.
