قد سَبَقتْ من قبْلِ ضَرْبِ الأَقْرابْ

عَرادَةُ الغَرّاءِ وابْنُ الجَلاّبْ

عَرادَةُ الغَرّاءِ وابْنُ الجَلاّبْ

Already, before the flanks were struck, they had taken the lead—

Before kinsmen's blows the eloquence of orators

ʿArādah of al-Gharrāʾ and the son of al-Jallāb.

And the son of wine-sellers.
