You hurl at me the barbs of humiliation, yet

my riding camels were never meekly saddled with it.

So you will learn, if you did not know it,

who that day is light in the balance, or heavy.

And on the day of terror you will learn what honor is mine,

when the one you looked to flinches or sinks into obscurity.

I am your cousin whenever calamity befalls you,

yet I am no kin of yours when your footing is secure.
