قد انتقل النجل العزيز ابن راشد

إلى جنة فيها يطير ويرتعُ

The dear son Rashid has passed away

To a paradise where he flies and grazes

سمي رسول الله أحمد وارد

على حوضه يسقي أباه وينفع

The Messenger of Allah Ahmad has promised

To let him drink from his basin and benefit

وتحضنه الحور الحسان لأنه

رضيعٌ له عشرون شهراً يرضع

The beautiful maidens embrace him

For he is an infant of twenty months suckling

وكانت بيوم الأربعاء وفاته

لعشرين من ثاني الربيعين يجمع

He passed away on Wednesday

The twentieth of the second Rabi'

وزد سنة في عد قول مؤرخ

فبشرى أباه فيه سوف يشفع

Add a year to the historian's count

Good news - through him his father will receive intercession
