الفلكُ تمخرُ والمهاري تنهجُ

فَدَعوا المقامَ ونحوَ طيبة عرِّجوا

The ships sail and the skilled sailors navigate

So they left the place and headed to the good Taibah

بَلدٌ به حلَّ النبيُّ محمّدٌ

شمسُ البريّة نورها المتوهّجُ

A land where the Prophet Muhammad settled

The sun of the wilderness, its light radiates

يا حبّذا وَجهٌ له بهرَ الورى

حُسناً بأنواع الجمال مدبّجُ

Oh how wonderful is the face that dazzles all creation

With beauty of all kinds of perfection decorated

وَجهٌ مَحا الظلماءَ ساطعُ نوره

وَجبينهُ الوضّاح أبلج أبهجُ

A face that erased the darkness with its shining light

And its luminous forehead is smooth and bright

في عينهِ حوَرٌ وفيها شكلةٌ

كالسيفِ أضحى بالدماء يضرّجُ

In his eyes there are maidens and in them a glance

Like a sword covered in blood that slashes and lances

سوداءُ بالزرقاءِ أَزرت مقلةً

وَالجفنُ مثلُ السهم أهدب أدعجُ

Black lined with blue, eyelids blink

And eyelashes like arrows precise and distinct

وَبثغرهِ شنَبٌ يروقكَ حُسنهُ

مُتبسّمٌ عن بارقٍ متفلّجُ

With a mouth whose beauty captivates you

Smiling with teeth bare and white

للَّه مولىً بالجمال مكلّلٌ

وَبكلِّ أنواعِ الكمال متوّجِ

To God a master crowned with beauty

And with all kinds of perfection adorned

سبّاقُ غايات الفضائلِ في الورى

طرّاً وسابقُهم لديه أعرجُ

Foremost in all virtues in existence

Flying while others behind him limped

أَغنى الأنامِ عن الأنام وإنّهم

أَغناهمُ عنهم إليه أحوجُ

Richer than all people yet they need him

And he enriched them though needier of Him
