1. جلل ألم على الكرام فهالا

    وأمال عرش المكرمات فمالا

    The pain of the noble stings the generous souls

    And the hopes of the throne of honours have withered

  2. جلل له اسود البلاد وأرجف

    السبع الشداد وزلزلت زلزالا

    Darkness has befallen the lands and the mighty seven shook

    The earth with tremors and quakes

  3. لو أنه بالشهب حل لقضها

    أو بالجبال لقلقل الأجبالا

    If only he descended like a shooting star to fulfill his decree

    Or like mountains shaking mountains

  4. يوما به ألوى القضا بمحمد

    الحسن الزكي مآثرا وفعالا

    The day he passed, justice turned to Muhammad

    The virtuous, the pure, with deeds and actions

  5. قل للألى شدوا الرحال فلا أرى

    أحدا تشد له الأنام رحالا

    Say to the exalted, set forth your journey, for I do not see

    Anyone else people would set forth a journey for

  6. قد كان بحر ندى وغاض عبابه

    فالناس تحسو بعده الأوشالا

    He was an ocean of light, but its waves have stilled

    And people now face dry basins after him

  7. علم سوى المعروف لم يعرف ولم

    يعقد على غير التقى سربالا

    None knew virtue except him, and none

    Wore a cloak except of piety

  8. وبعول في أهل الزمان تكرما

    فكأنهم كانوا عليه عيالا

    He prized the people of his time with generosity

    As if they were his own children

  9. باصارف الأهوال عنا من بنا

    خلفت بعدك يصرف الأهوالا

    O turner away of afflictions from us, protect us

    From the evils left behind without you

  10. هل كيف لم تعول شريعة أحمد

    حزنا وكنت لها حمى وثمالا

    How could the law of Ahmed not mourn

    When you were its protector and guard

  11. ولكم ضربت من العلوم جواهرا

    مثلا فعزت في العلوم مثالا

    You set forth gems of knowledge as examples

    And excelled in the sciences as an example

  12. ذهبت فضيلتها بكل فضيلة

    للعالمين أواخرا واوالا

    With every virtue, his excellence disappeared

    For all people, present and future

  13. تنبيك عن حكم الجليل كأنما

    جبريل أنزل آيها انزالا

    Your advice about the majestic law was as if

    Gabriel had just descended with a verse

  14. وكأنما خطت على ألواحها

    أٌلامه التفصيل والاجمالا

    As if his signs were inscribed with details

    On tablets, in brief and in full

  15. تلك الجواهر ما وردت بحارها

    إلا سقتك نميرها السلسالا

    Those gems only flowed from his seas

    To quench your thirst forever

  16. كانت تلألأ في وجودك بهجة

    واليوم بعدك حزنها يتوالى

    In your life, you were blissful joy

    And today, after you, sorrow continues

  17. لولا بنوك قضيت فيك وإنما

    شاهدت نورك فيهم يتلالا

    If not for your sons, I would have despaired for you

    But I saw your light in them, shining bright

  18. هم صفوة المجد المؤثل والألى

    شرعوا حراما للورى وحلالا

    They are the elite glory and pride

    Who deemed forbidden and legal for people

  19. قامت قنا الاسلام فيهم واكتسى

    أهلوه فيهم عزة وجلالا

    The pillar of Islam stood with them, and they adorned

    It with might and majesty

  20. كالندب ابراهيم والمولى الذي

    مدت يداه على الانام ضلالا

    Like the grief of Abraham and the Master whose

    Hands stretched to the misguided people

  21. وشقيقه عبد الحسين ومن به

    نالت بنو الدنيا أعز نوالا

    And his brother Abdel Hussein, and through him

    The people of this world attained great fortune

  22. قرم حوى ما في أبيه ولم يزل

    في كل شيء يحتذبه مثالا

    He preserved what was in his father, and always

    Followed his example in everything

  23. والماجد السبط الحسين معظم

    تعنو له عظماؤها إجلالا

    And the glorious grandson Al-Hussein, so revered

    The elite bow to him in utmost respect

  24. واخي العلا الاسنى علي والذي

    عم الأنام بفضله افضالا

    And my brother, the most distinguished Ali, who

    Bestowed his overflowing grace upon all people

  25. لكم التسلي بالتقي محمد

    أسخى بني الهادي وأكرم آلا

    Take solace in the pious Muhammad

    The most generous son of Al-Hadi and the most gracious family

  26. والمرنقي في العلم أعلى منزل

    لو طاولته النيرات لطالا

    And the towering master of knowledge Al-Marnaki

    Whose loftiness would be high if extended by palms

  27. علامة العلماء من أضحت له

    العلماء تسحب بالهنا أذيالا

    The benchmark of scholars, before whom

    Scholars trail their hems

  28. لا انفك صوب العفو يسقى تربة

    فيها انطوى الابكار والاصالا

    He does not cease to direct towards pardon, watering the soil

    In which the chaste and virtuous are wrapped
