1. رسول العلى والفضل والخير والهدى

    لكل سطور المجد اسمك مبتدا

    Messenger of the Most High, virtue, goodness and guidance

    Your name begins every line of glory

  2. ولي في معانيك الحسان تأمل

    سمعت به قلبي يقول محمدا

    In your meanings, I contemplate the beautiful

    My heart utters "Muhammad" when I hear it

  3. ويهتز للذكرى حنينا وحرقة

    فيهتاجه الشوق الذي جاوز المدى

    And yearns with nostalgia and burning

    So longing overflows which exceeded the goal

  4. ويعمره فيض من الوجد سابغ

    يضوع به قلبي أريجا موردا

    And dwells in me an abundant overflow of rapture

    That saturates my heart, a lush meadow

  5. ويوم به نادت قريش بجمعها

    وأبدت من الحق الصراح تمردا

    And the day when Quraysh called its masses

    And manifested defiance of the clear truth

  6. وسارت بنار الكفر تغلي وحقدها

    يغور اعتداء صارخا وتعندا

    And went with the fire of disbelief boiling and its hatred

    Oppression crying out loudly and stubbornly

  7. لتقضي على الدين الذي شع نوره

    سلاما وإيمانا وعدلا موطدا

    To eradicate the religion whose light has spread

    Peace, faith, and affirmed justice

  8. أتطفىء نور الله نفخة كافر

    تعالى الذي بالكبرياء تفردا

    Does an unbeliever extinguish God's light with a breath?

    Exalted is He who alone is supreme

  9. إذا جلجلت الله أكبر في الوغى

    تخاذلت الأصوات عن ذلك الندا

    When "God is great" thundered in the tumult

    The voices fell silent at that call

  10. هناك التقى الجمعان جمع يقوده

    غرور أبي جهل كهر تأسدا

    There the two crowds met, one led

    By the arrogance of Abu Jahl, snarling like a lion

  11. وجمع عليه من هداه مهابة

    وحادية بالآيات في الصبر قد حدا

    And the other, whom He guided, standing before him

    Reciting verses steadfastly with awe

  12. وشمر خير الخلق عن ساعد الفدا

    وهز على رأس الطغاة المهندا

    The best of creation bared his arm for sacrifice

    And struck the heads of the tyrants with his stirrup

  13. وجبريل في الأفق القريب مكبر

    ليلقي الونا والرعب في أنفس العدى

    And Gabriel in the nearby horizon cried "God is great"

    To cast fear and terror into the souls of the enemies

  14. وسرعان ما فرت قريش بجمعها

    وعافت أبا جهل هناك ممددا

    And soon Quraysh fled with all its masses

    Leaving Abu Jahl sprawled there dead

  15. منكسة الرايات مفلولة العرى

    جريحة كبر قد طغى فتبددا

    With banners lowered and pillars collapsed

    The great arrogance that dominated now scattered

  16. ينوء بها ثقل الهوان وهمة

    وتفضحها أسرى تريد لها الفدا

    Bearing the burden of disgrace and defeated zeal

    And exposed by prisoners willing to sacrifice for them

  17. وأنف أبي جهل تمرغ في الثرى

    وداسته أقدام الحفاة بما اعتدى

    The nose of Abu Jahl rubbed in the dirt

    And bare feet trampled him for his transgression

  18. ومن خاصم الرحمن خابت جهوده

    وضاعت مساعيه وأتعابه سدى

    And whoever contends with the Merciful, his efforts fail

    And his endeavors and toils are in vain

  19. وكيف يقوم الظلم في وجه شرعة

    تسامت على كل الشرائع مقصدا

    And how can wrong stand before a law

    That transcends all laws in its purpose

  20. سماوية الأغراض ساوت بنهجها

    جميع بني الدنيا مسودا وسيدا

    Heavenly in its goals, its approach made

    All people equal, black and white

  21. وألغت فروق العرق واللون في الورى

    فلا أبيضا حابت لتبخس أسودا

    It abolished racial differences in the world

    It did not diminish the black to favor the white

  22. ولا فضلت قوما لتحقر غيرهم

    ولا جحدت حقا ولا أنكرت يدا

    Nor did it prefer one people and despise others

    Or deny a right or refuse a hand

  23. تريد الهدى للناس دأبهم

    يعادون من يدعو إلى الخير والهدى

    It intends guidance for people as their habit

    They oppose whoever calls to good and guidance

  24. وليس جديدا ما نرى من تصارع

    هو البغي لكن بالأسامي تجددا

    And it is nothing new that we see this conflict

    It is enmity but with new names

  25. وأصبح أحزابا تناحر بينها

    وتبدو بوجه الدين صفا موحدا

    And it has become parties that fight amongst themselves

    Yet they appear unified in face of religion

  26. رسول الهدى مسراك بات مهددا

    وأوشك بيت القدس أن يتهودا

    Messenger of guidance, your path has become threatened

    And Jerusalem is about to be judaized

  27. وقومي لا يستنفرون لحقهم

    جيوشا تصون الحق أن يتبددا

    And my people do not mobilize armies to defend their rights

    To uphold the truth lest it be destroyed

  28. أبن أيها التاريخ وجه محمد

    ليبصره العامون عنه تعمدا

    Tell me, O history, the face of Muhammad

    That the masses obscured intentionally

  29. إذا قامت الدنيا تعد مفاخرا

    فتاريخنا الوضاح من بدر ابتدا

    When the world enumerates its glories

    Our shining history began at Badr

  30. ويبقى صدى بدر يرن بأفقنا

    هتافا على سمع الزمان مرددا

    And the echo of Badr still rings in our horizons

    A chant reverberating through the ages

  31. بلاد أعزتها سيوف محمد

    فما عذرها أن لا تعز محمدا

    The lands you honored by Muhammad's swords

    What is their excuse not to honor Muhammad

  32. رسول العلى لي في مديحك وقفة

    أرجي بها خيرا لدى موقفي غدا

    Messenger of the Most High, I pause in your praise

    Hoping for some good when I stand before my Judge tomorrow

  33. لساني لم ينطق حراما ولا هوى

    وشعري لم يضمم كلاما مفندا

    My tongue has spoken no sin or passion

    And my poetry held no invalid or baseless words

  34. ولم أتلون كالذين تلونوا

    وزاغوا وراغوا خسة وتصيدا

    I have not wavered like those who waver

    And deviate, peddling indecency and entrapment

  35. وحسبي من الشعر الحلال قصائد

    نطقت بها تبقى إذا لفني الردى

    I am content with the lawful poetry of odes

    I spoke that will remain when I am gone

  36. ومن يكن همه في العيش مأكله

    فالموت أولى له من عيشه الكدر

    He whose main concern in life is his next meal

    Death is more suited for him than his miserable life

  37. لا ينظرون إلى ما كان أولهم

    في ظل حكم رسول الله أو عمر

    They do not look at what preceded them

    In the shade of the rule of the Messenger of God or Omar

  38. أيام كانوا وكان الله غايتهم

    أيام كانوا لهذا الكون كالقمر

    When they and God were their priority

    When they were to this universe like the moon

  39. أيام كانوا ونجم السعد مؤتلق

    ما بين مجتمع منه ومنتشر

    When they were and the star of fortune shone

    Among gatherings of them and individuals

  40. الله أكبر إن الناس قد خلعوا

    ثوب الحياء وصاروا اليوم كالحمر

    God is great! People have now shed

    The garment of modesty and become like donkeys today

  41. فعهدنا اليوم مع عهد الرسول غدا

    الفرق بينهما كالفحم والدرر

    So our era today compared to the Messenger's

    The difference between them is like coal and pearls

  42. أين الصلاة التي جاء الرسول بها

    فرضا على الناس في حل وفي سفر

    Where is the prayer the Messenger brought

    Obligatory on people at home and on a journey?
