1. دَعيني أُطَوِّف في البِلادِ لَعَلَّني

    أُفيدُ غِنىً فيهِ لِذي الحَقِّ مُحمِلُ

    Let me wander through the lands, perhaps

    I may find wealth in it for the rightful owner

  2. أَلَيسَ عَظيماً أَن تُلِمَّ مُلِمَّةٌ

    وَلَيسَ عَلَينا في الحُقوقِ مُعَوَّلُ

    Is it not great that an occasion presents itself

    And we have no reliance on rights

  3. فَإِن نَحنُ لَم نَملِك دِفاعاً بِحادِثٍ

    تُلِمُّ بِهِ الأَيّامُ فَالمَوتُ أَجمَلُ

    For if we do not possess a defense against an event

    That blames the days, then death is more beautiful
