قَدْ كَانَ يَا رَبِّي بِقَدْرِكَ عَارِفَا

أَجْزِلْ لَهُ مِنْكَ الثوَابَ مُضَاعِفَا

He knew, my Lord, of Your decree, abundantly

Bestow upon him from You a doubled reward

قَدْ عَاشَ مُلْتَزِمَاً.. وَمَاتَ مُوَحِّدَاً

مَا كَانَ لِلشَّرْعِ الحَنِيْفِ مُخَالِفَا

He lived obediently.. and died a monotheist

He was never disobedient to the upright law

وَاحْفَظْ بُنَيَّاتٍ لَهُ مِنْ بَعْدِهِ

مِنْ هَوْلِ مَوْتِ الأَبِّ صِرْنَ رَوَاجِفَا

And protect his progeny after him

From the horror of a father's death, shelter them

يَبْكِيْنَ مِنْ حُزْنٍ عَلَيْهِ بِأَعْيُنٍ

صَارَتْ بِحَقٍّ لِلدِّمَاءِ ذَوَارِفَا

They cry in sorrow for him with eyes

That truly shed tears of blood in grief

الكُلُّ يَضْرَعُ بِالدُّعَاءِ.. أَجِبْ لَنَا

يَا رَبَّنَا وَاشْمَلْ بِلُطْفِكَ (عَاطِفَا)

All beseech with supplication.. answer us

Our Lord, and envelop him with Your kindness

وَاجْعَلْ لَهُ أَعْلَى الجِنَانِ مَنَازِلاً

وَارْزُقْهُ يَا رَبَّاهُ ظِلاً وَارِفَا

And grant him the highest stations in Paradise

And sustain him, O Lord, with ample shade
