لك الحمد اللهم يا ذا الحامد

لك الحمد حمداً ليس يحصى لحامد

You alone deserve praise, O God, O You for Whom there is praise

For You is praise that cannot be quantified by one who praises

لك الحمد حمداً يملأ الأرض والسما

وما شئته من بعد ذا غير نافد

For You is praise that fills the earth and the heavens

And whatever you wish after that will not run out

إلهي لك الحمد الذي أنت أهله

فأنت الذي ترجى لكشف الشدائد

My God, praise be to You, You who are worthy of it

For You are the One whose aid is hoped for to relieve afflictions

ولله رب الحمد والشكر والثنا

وذو العرش أولى بالثنا والحامد

And to Allah belongs praise and thanks and glorification

And the Lord of the Throne is most deserving of glorification and praise

فقد جاءنا جند الضلال وأجلبوا

بأحزابهم من كل غاو معاند

For the armies of misguidance have come upon us

With their parties from every obstinate transgressor

وساروا إلى الإخوان في عقر دارهم

على كثرة الأعداء من كل جاحد

And they marched against the brothers in the heart of their abode

Despite the great number of enemies from every denier

وفي قلة في أهل دين محمد

ذوي الصدق في يوم الوغى والتجالد

And the few among the people of Muhammad's religion

The sincere on the day of turmoil and mutual fighting

وراموا أموراً لانطلاق عظيمة

بأهل الهدى أهل التقى والحامد

And they intended monumental matters of transgression

Against the people of guidance, the people of piety and praise

ولكن مولانا أجاد بفضله

ومن بخذلان الطغاة الأباعد

But our Master brought victory with His grace

And the humiliation of the tyrants, the outcasts

ويا أيها الغادي على ظهر ضامر

عرندسة تفري لبيد الفدافد

O you who travels on an emaciated she-camel

A doe that runs from the attacks of warriors

تحمل هداك الله مني رسالة

إلى الملك السامي يفاع الحامد

Carrying your destruction from God, a message from me

To the supreme King, abundant in praise

وأبلغه تسليماً على البعد والنوى

سلام بحب صادق الود حامد

And convey to him greetings from afar

A greeting of sincere love and affection from one who praises

وناد بأعلى الصوت يا صاح قائلاً

هنيئاً لك الإسعاف يا ابن الأماجد

And call out loudly, "O harbinger, saying:

Congratulations on your timely aid, O son of the glorious!"

هنيئاً لك العز الموطد بالعلا

هنيئاً هنيئاً كنهه غير نافد

Congratulations on your firmly established might and elevation

Congratulations, congratulations - it is never-ending

ويهنيك يا شمس البلاد وبدرها

بلوغ المنى من كل باغ معاند

And the sun of the countries and their full moon congratulate you

On reaching your hopes despite every hostile transgressor

فلا زلت منصوراً على كل من بغى

وكل أجير من ذوي البغي مارد

For you remain victorious over all who rebel

And every hired hand of the tyrannical rebels

ولازلت في العز المؤثل والهنى

يساعدك الإسعاف في كل وارد

And you still enjoy might and prosperity

With aid coming to your assistance at every juncture

لعمري لنعم الحي من صحب خالد

ومن خالد سامي الذرى والمحامد

By my life! How excellent is the companion of Khalid

And the one from the lofty and praised lineage of Khalid

حموا دراهم من كل طاغ مخادع

وعن كل جبار عنيد معاند

Who protected money from every deceitful tyrant

And from every stubborn and hostile enemy

وهم صبروا بل صابروا ثم رابطوا

وقد جاهدوا واستنجدوا كل ماجد

For they were patient - rather, they persevered - then stood firm

And they struggled, sought help, every glorious one

كم هاجروا الله في كل بلدة

كأصحاب سلطان الحماة الأجاود

How they emigrated for God's cause in every land

Like the companions of the Sultan of defenders and glorious ones

وهم سكنوا في (الغطغط) الواسع الذي

به اغتبطوا لما بنوا للمساجج

And they settled in the vast "Ghutghut"

In which they rejoiced when they built mosques

ومن سكنوا في الدين واستوطنوا به

وإخوانهم من كل شهم مجالد

And those who settled in the religion and made it their home

And their brothers from every brave hero

قبائل من قحطان مخن جاهدوا العدى

ومن أهل (صبحا) من سموا في المشاهد

Tribes from Qahtan, and from Khuzam who struggled against the enemy

And the people of "Sabha" who were named among the witnesses

وأهل (سنام) هاجروا ثم جاهدوا

بأسيافهم أهل الردى والمفاسد

The people of "Sanam" emigrated then fought

The people of evil and corruption with their swords

همو قصدوا الأتراك حقاً بجمعهم

وما عاقهم عنهم أهاويل مارد

They marched straight towards the Turks with their army

And did not refrain due to the terrors of defiant devils

فطوبى لهم طوبى فقد أدركوا المنى

وقد أدركوا فخراً وأجر المجاهد

Good fortune to them! Good fortune! For they obtained their hopes

And attained pride and the reward of one who struggles

وإذا كنت يوماً ذاكراً بفضيلة

ومنقبة يثني بها في المحاشد

And if one day you mention a virtuous trait or merit

In which you excel among witnesses

فلا تنسى حرباً في الحروب فإنهم

حماة كماة في الوغى والمشاهد

Then do not forget a war among wars, for they

Are protectors, defenders in turmoil and battle

وإخوانهم من (شمر) حيث شمروا

لحرب الأعادي والبغاة والأباعد

And their brothers from Shammar, where they resolved

To battle the enemies, the rebels, and those who sought discord

وأعني بهم من هاجروا وتبؤوا

بدخنة داراً قد زهت بالمساجد

I mean those who emigrated and distanced themselves

In the Dakhina residence, graced with mosques

ومن قبل كانوا في الجهالة والردى

حيارى سكارى قد عثوا في المفاسد

Previously, they were in ignorance and misguidance

Bewildered drunkards who roamed in corruption

فأنقذهم ربي من الجهل والهوى

واحياهمو محيي الرياض الهوامد

But my Lord saved them from ignorance and desire

And gave them life - the Reviver of flourishing meadows

وقد خلفوا في دراهم خشية العدى

وكيداً وإرهاباً لكل مكائد

And they left money behind, fearing the hostility

And plotting of every schemer

لئلا يفاجئ أهلهم بعد غزوهم

عدو مريب قاعد بالمراصد

So that no enemy would suddenly attack

Their families after their campaign, an enemy waiting in ambush

فكان الذي نخشاه من كيد مكرهم

ورائد مكر السوء أشأم رائد

And that which we feared from their cunning and plotting

Befell the scheming plotter of evil, ill-omened guide

وعاد إليهم مكرهم بهلاكهم

كإخوانهم من كل طاغ معاند

And their cunning returned to destroy them

Like their brothers from every defiant tyrant

ولما أرد الله إظهار فضلهم

ومشهد صدق من حماة أماجد

And when God willed to manifest their merit

And the witnessing of the truthfulness of the glorious defenders

تبارك علام العيوب فعلمه

بما كان في الماضي وما يأت في الغد

Blessed is He, the All-Knowing of secrets, for He knew

What had passed and what will come in the future

سواء فما تخفى عليه خفية

وما قد نواه العبد من كل مقصد

Hidden or intended by a servant for any purpose

Does not escape His knowledge

وأخبرنا في وحيه لرسوله

بأن لامرئ ما قد نوى فبه اقتد

And He informed us in His revelation to His Messenger

That one attains what one intends, so by it be guided

فجل عزيزاً ذا انتقام وغيرة

فسبحانه من قاهر ذي تفرد

So majestic is the Mighty Lord of vengeance and jealousy

Glory be to Him, the Subduer, the Unique
