1. بعزك يا ذا الكبرياء والمراحم

    ومعروفك المعروف بين العوالم

    I implore you, O You of great pride and mercy

    And Your known favors among the worlds

  2. وأسمائك الحسنى وأوصافك العلى

    فأنت الذي ترجى لكشف العظائم

    And Your good names and highest attributes

    For You are the one whose help is sought to uncover great things

  3. أبدفئة خانت بعهدك واعتدت

    ورامت لهذا الدين إحدى القواصم

    A treacherous group has violated its covenant with You and transgressed

    And sought to destroy this religion, one of its pillars

  4. فأبدلهمو يا رب بالعز ذلة

    وقوتهم بالضعف يا ذا المراحم

    So make them, O Lord, disgraced instead of mighty

    And make their strength into weakness, O You of mercy

  5. لقد أملوا في الأرض بغياً بظلمهم

    وإفسادهم فيها وهتك المحارم

    They have spread corruption on earth by their injustice

    And their mischief therein, violating the sacred

  6. وإهلاكهم للحرث والنسل جهرة

    وسومهمو للخلق سوء البهائم

    Destroying lives and offspring blatantly

    Branding the people like vicious beasts

  7. فجاءوا على غيظ وقيظ عداوة

    لنم قام بالإسلام سامي الدعائم

    So they came in boiling, blazing enmity

    Against those who established the towering pillars of Islam

  8. يريدون أن يستأصلوا الدين والهدى

    وأن يرفعوا رايات باغ وظالم

    Wanting to uproot the religion and guidance

    And raise the banners of rebellion and injustice

  9. فيبقى ذوو الإسلام غرثى أذلة

    وتعلو البوادي باجتباء المظالم

    Leaving the people of Islam miserable and disgraced

    While oppression prevails the lands

  10. ولكنهم والحمد لله لم تزل

    بهم خيفة من ماضيات الملاحم

    But, praise be to God, the awe from past conquests

    Keeps them at bay

  11. فمالوا إلى الإسلام بعد احتفالهم

    وأعمالهم لليعملات الرواسم

    So they recoiled from Islam after their hubris

    And work cut short from achieving their goals

  12. بآبوا بحمد لله لم يدركوا المنى

    ولكنههم آبوا بحوب المأثم

    They have come back, thanks to God, not attaining their hopes

    But they came in the midst of sin and vice

  13. فيا محنة الإسلام من كل فاجر

    وكل جهول بالحدود وغائم

    Oh, what an affliction for Islam from every wicked

    And ignorant person violating its laws

  14. ومن مدع للدين والحق ثم لا

    يحامي عن الإسلام عن التزاحم

    And from every pretender of religion and truth, but

    Cannot defend Islam from the crush

  15. ومنتسب لعلم أضحى بعلمه

    يسوس به الدنيا وجمع الدراهم

    One who associates with knowledge, but uses it

    To ingratiate the world and collect money

  16. ولكنه أضحى عن الحق ناكباً

    بترك الهدى ميلاً إلى كل ظالم

    Yet has turned away from the truth

    By abandoning guidance, leaning towards injustice

  17. سيعلم من أضحى يقلد للهوى

    ويقرع غيظاً آسفاً سن نادم

    Whoever turns to follow desires

    And arrogantly and regrettably harms

  18. وبال عقاب الله يوم معادنا

    وفي هذه الدنيا بحوب المآشم

    Will know God's punishment on the day we meet Him

    And in this life, experience adversities

  19. أما في كتاب الله ما كان شافياً

    وفي سنة المختار صفوة آدم

    As for what heals in God's Book

    And in the sunnah of the Chosen One, Master of Humans

  20. ففي سورة الشورى بيانٌ لمبتغ

    طريق الهدى فاسئل بها كل عالم

    In Surat Ash-Shura is an explanation of the desired

    Path of guidance, so ask every scholar about it

  21. فقد شرع الله اتباع محمد

    وإخوانه والله أعدل حاكم

    God has ordained following Muhammad

    And his brothers, and God is the most just of rulers

  22. وفي سورة الأنعام أوضح حجة

    وأقطعها حقاً لكل مخاصم

    In Surat Al-'An`ām is the clearest proof

    And firmest argument against every adversary

  23. وفي آل عمران البيان وإنه

    لأوضح تبيان على أنف راغم

    And in Āl ʿImrān is the clear explanation

    Indeed, the clearest detail, despite every denier

  24. وأما الأحاديث الصحاح فإنها

    لأكثر من إحصائها في المناظم

    As for the authentic narrations - they are indeed

    More numerous to enumerate in prose

  25. ويا حزن الإسلام والدين والهدى

    على أهله السامين أعلى المكارم

    Oh what sorrow for Islam, the religion and guidance

    Upon its noble people, highest in nobility

  26. وحزب الإله الخائطي حومة الوغى

    ويحمونها بالمرهفات الصوارم

    The soldiers of God surround the place of sedition

    Shielding it with sharp, piercing weapons

  27. ومنتسب للعلم غير مذبذب

    ولا آخذ في لومة الله لائم

    One who attributes himself to knowledge without wavering

    Or caving to critics’ blame

  28. فيا رب يا منان يا فالق النوى

    ويا فالق الأصباح يا خير حاكم

    My Lord, O Bestower, Splitter of seeds

    And daybreaks, best of rulers

  29. ويا رافع السبع الطباق وعالياً

    على عرشه بالذات فوق العوالم

    O Lifter of the seven layered heavens, elevated

    Above the Throne by Your essence, above the worlds

  30. ويا سامع النجوى وأخفى ومبصراً

    بكل جميع المبصرات وعهالم

    O Hearer of whispers, Seer of the unseen

    Of all hidden and visible things

  31. أقم على الإسلام بعد اندراسه

    وثبت حماة الدين يا ذا المراحم

    Strengthen Islam after its decline

    And make steadfast its defenders, O You of Mercy

  32. وبدد بنصر الدين شمل ذوي الردى

    وأصنارهم من كل باغ وظالم

    And by aiding religion, destroy those who have gone astray

    And their idols, every rebel and unjust one

  33. فيا راكباً عوجاء صادقة السرى

    موثقة الأنساغ درم المناسم

    My Camel riding straight, true of pace

    Tying knots, hiding tracks in the dunes

  34. عرندسة تغري الهجير بوخدها

    وأرقالها في طامسات المعالم

    Seductive is your swaying howdah in the deserted plains

    And the tinkling of your bracelets over the landmarks

  35. تحمل هداك الله مني تحية

    إلى الصحب من أخٍ وخلٍ ملازم

    Carry to your beloved companions my greetings

    To the brothers and friends keeping company

  36. تحية مكلوم الفؤاد من النوى

    فعيناه تهمي بالدموع السواجم

    Greetings from one with a burdened soul and teary eyes

    For after the lightning and clouds bid farewell

  37. بعد وميض البرق والودق أودعا

    هديلاً على الأغصان ورق الحمائم

    They left yearning upon the branches and turtledoves

    Join, my God, whenever drought begets rainfall

  38. وصل إلهي كلما انهل وابل

    على السيد المعصوم صفوة آدم

    Upon the Master of Humans, the Elite of Adam

    And his companions through the generations

  39. وأصحابه والآل ما عاذ والتجا

    بعزك يا ذا الكبرياء والمراحم

    I implore you, O You of great pride and mercy
