طابت صفاتك مصطفى فتهللت

بك مصر وازدانت بحزب حافل

Your virtues have been glorified, O Mustafa, so Egypt rejoiced

And adorned itself with your bustling party

أحيت مراشدك الشبيبة فارتقت

لمدارج الشرف الرفيع الطائل

Your youthful followers have been revived and ascended

To the heights of sublime, noble honor

قد قمت بالامر الخطير فأرعدوا

فزعا ونلت مذمة من جاهل

You have undertaken the grave matter, so they trembled

In horror, and you received insults from an ignoramus

جهلوا المقاصد أو أتوا بتجاهل

فتقولوا وتأججوا بالباطل

They were ignorant of the objectives or came with disregard

So they spoke and were inflamed with falsehood

دم رافعا ذاك اللواء مشيدا

صرح المعارف بالثبات الكامل

Your blood raised that banner, erecting

The edifice of knowledge with perfect steadfastness

أنت المراقب لاقتحامك لجها

وبك افتخار المستنير الفاضل

You are the overseer of your raid into the battle

And you are the pride of the enlightened virtuous one

ولتهن مدرسة الكمال بحزبها

ورئيسها الشهم الغيور الباسل

And may your school of perfection rejoice with its party

And its intrepid, zealous leader

وليفتخر ذا العصر وليسعد فذا

عبد الحميد على الجواد الرافل

And may the age be proud and joyous for this

Abdul Hamid, on the bountiful, streaming horse

بالجد ساع حاميا بل جاذبا

روح العوالم بالدهاء الفاعل

He strove in earnest, even pulling

The spirit of the worlds with his effectual wit

فهو المجاهد لامراء وأمره

حتما يطاع برغم أنف المائل

He is the fighter against princes, and his command

Is certainly obeyed despite the reluctant

وليبتهج بسمو عباس فقد

أرضى النفوس بذا الحنان الوابل

And let it delight in the loftiness of Abbas, for he

Has satisfied the souls with this abundant affection

لاذت بطلعته الشبيبة فانثنت

للغرب ترمق كالخبير العاقل

The youth have sought refuge in his rising, so they leaned

Towards the West, looking like the wise elder

يا نخبة العصر الجديد وحزبه

ورجاله وحماته في القابل

O elite of the new age, its party

Its men and its protectors in the future

ما الغرب مثل الشرق في اقدامه

فيما مضى من فارس أو راجل

The West is not like the East in its steps

In the past of horseman or footman

فالشرق أن رفض السبات تراكضت

فرسانه وأتت بفخر هائل

When the East rejected slumber, its

Horsemen raced and brought tremendous pride

حان التيقظ والطبيعة ساعدت

والعود أحمد للنجاح العاجل

The time to awaken has come, and nature has aided

The return of Ahmed for the swift success

هذا هناء العيش هذا صفوه

هذا صراط الفوز هل من عامل

This is the joy of life, this is its quintessence

This is the path of salvation, is there any worker?

فالعلم نور والجهالة ظلمة

والجد حزم لا جمود الخامل

Knowledge is light, and ignorance is darkness

And endeavor is resolve, not the stillness of the idle

والبخل عار والسكينة ذلة

والاحتلال زعاق سم قاتل

Stinginess is shameful, and meekness is humiliation

And occupation is a lethal, burning poison

من جد نال وللمغايم فرصة

والعمر يعبر كالزلال السائل

He who strives earnestly attains, and there is opportunity for the brave

And life passes like flowing moisture

هذي نصائح مخلص مستبشر

برقي قطركم به من كامل

These are the sincere advice of one hopeful

For the prosperity of your abode, perfectly
