هنّ اِبن آدم بالفردوس حيث قضى

أبهى حيوة بتقوى الله منتهيةْ

The son of Adam in Paradise where he spent

The most beautiful life in piety to God ended

جرمانوس السيد المفضال من شهدت

لفضله السامي المشهور كل فيهْ

Gerwanos the master, the virtuous of whom witnessed

His high renowned virtue all in it

يا كوكباً كان فيه الشرق مستضياً

وفي سناه قضاة الدين مهتديهْ

O you were a star in whom the East enlightened

And in its years the judges of religion guided

نلت الأكاليل في سنة مورخة

جاءت بألف وتسع مع ثمان ميهْ

You obtained the crowns in a dated year

That came with one thousand and nine hundred eight
