أنا في الغاب لو تدري
وفي فردوسه السحري
I am in the forest, if only you knew
And in its magical paradise
أجوب فجاجه وحدي
وادعو اللَه في سري
I roam its ravines alone
And pray to God in secret
هنا السروُ من النفس
غريق في ندى الفجر
Drowning in the dew of dawn
Their fragrance diffusing perfume
هنا الزهر بلا وجل
يفوح شذاه بالعطر
Pure, no hand of vice touches them
Molded from chastity
نقي لا تدّنسه
يد صيغت من العهر
Delicate, its tendrils
Reviving the name of the lips
رقيق بي غلائله
حيّي باسم الثغر
Caressing flower branches
Bearing magical fragrance
هنا البسمات سارية
تداعب افرع الزهر
Awakening the muse of poetry
With no one but me
فتحمل عطره سحراً
وتوقظ ربة الشعر
I stand watching the world
Pure of heart and thought
هنا في هدأة الليل
وما من احد غيري
Flourishing with good tidings
Far from people's harm
وقفت اراقب الدنيا
نقي القلب والفكر
And from their affairs
And from the clamor of talk
هنا غاب معبقة
رباه يفيض بالبشر
Of that filthy world
And from the foolishness in it
بعيد عن أذى الناس
وعما بينهم يجري
And from the mockery in it
Sees himself in a miserable state
وعن شنشنة القول
بذاك العالم القذر
Nor the enslaved by women
Secretly or openly
وعما فيه من سفه
وعما فيه من سخر
Neither the obsessed with fame
Nor the engrossed in mention
هنا لا عابد المال
يرى في شكله المزري
Neither the led astray
Nor the discarded with nonsense
ولا مستعبد المرأ
ة في السر وفي الجهر
Neither the relieved in chest
Nor the perturbed in thought
ولا الولهان بالصيت
ولا الهيمان بالذكر
Nor coveting buyer
Nor the nationalism of the free
ولا المرعي جانبه
ولا المرميّ بالهذر
Neither an exhale flows
Nor a smile tempts
ولا المنشرح الصدر
ولا المضطرب الفكر
Like the serenity of night and dawn
Like the stillness of a star and moon
هنا لا بائع ارضاً
ولا من طامع يشري
Rivals the birds' melody
Converses with the breeze of purity
هنا لا ذلة العبد
ولا وطنية الحر
And secret of immortality, if only you knew
ولا من نفحة تسري
ولا من بسمة تغري
هنا الاحلام ساجية
سجوّ الليل والفجر
هنا الآمال هادئة
هدوء النجم والبدر
هنا وسوسة السرو
تناغي نغم الطير
هنا اغرودة البشر
تناجي نفحة الطهر
هنا الحسن هنا الحب
هنا منطقة السحر
هنا اللَه هو الأعلى
هنا الاغراق في الخير
هنا راحتي الكبرى
وسر الخلد لو تدري
