And the truth seemed soft

And the weak seemed spiritual

واذا بالاين روحاً

واذا بالروح أينا

And the spiritual seemed weak

And the easy seemed difficult

وإذا بالهين صعباً

واذا بالصعب هينا

And the difficult seemed easy

And the far seemed near

واذا بالبين قرباً

واذا بالقرب بينا

And the near seemed far

And the eye seemed like the ear

واذا بالعين اذناً

واذا بالاذن عينا

And the ear seemed like the eye

And if my friend we are

واذا يا صاحبي نحن

ن نيامٌ فوعينا

Asleep, then awaken us
