وافيصلاه القلب منفطر
والدمع مسفوح ومنهمر
My heart is broken,
My tears overflowing and cascading.
اللَه في آياته عجب
والدهر في طياته عبر
God's signs are wondrous,
And time's folds bear lessons.
اللَه ما الدنيا وفتنتها
ما الدهر ما المقدور ما القدر
God, what is this world and its trials?
What is fate, destiny and decree?
يا فيصل الارواح زاهقة
يا فيصل الايام تحتضر
Oh Faisal, souls perish,
Oh Faisal, days expire.
يا فيصل الاعمار هينة
كالدهر لا طول ولا قصر
Oh Faisal, lives fade
Like time, neither long nor short.
الشمس في الاجواء باهتة
والنجم تلو النجم والقمر
The sun is pale in the sky,
And stars and moon in succession.
والطير محزون ومننتحب
والزهر لا عود ولا ثمر
The birds grieving and lamenting,
The flowers barren and fruitless.
والبيد مائدة بآهلها
والجو فوق البيد معتكر
The desert is set with its people,
And the air above the desert is murky.
اللَه والالام مغرقة
في الحزن والآمال تنحدر
God, grief is drowning,
Hopes trickling down.
اللَه والافكار هائمة
تحتاطها الاشباح والصور
God, thoughts roam astray,
Ghosts and visions surround them.
والحزن يا اقدار منتشر
والبشر يا اقدار منتحر
Grief spreads far, oh fate!
Mortals take their own lives, oh fate!
والكون خلو من مفاتنه
والدهر في اعطافه حور
The universe is devoid of its charms,
And time twists in its folds.
يا فيصل الجبار معذرة
انا ورب البيت نعتذر
Oh mighty Faisal, forgive us,
I and the Lord of the house apologize.
لو كنت تفدى يا محجتنا
يفديك فينا السمع والبصر
If you could be ransomed, our beloved,
Our hearing and sight would ransom you.
نفديك بالارواح لا كذب
في القول لا واللَه او زور
We would ransom you with our souls, no lies,
No, by God, deception or pretense.
قد كنت في ماضيك سامرنا
واليوم لا ماض ولا سمر
You were our companion in days past,
Today there is no yesterday or late nights together.
النوم بعدك كله ارق
والعيش بعدك كله كدر
After you, all sleep is wakefulness,
And living after you is bitterness.
الذكريات اليوم تلهبنا
شوقاً إلى الماضي فنذكر
Memories today inflame us,
With longing for the past, so we recall.
وهذه ايامنا دول
تعلو بنا طوراً وتنحدر
These are our days,
Rising and falling over us.
يا غازي المحبوب تعزية
من مدنف عاثت به الفكر
Oh absent warrior, condolences
From one whose thoughts have been disturbed.
مولاك يا مولاي يندبه
البدو في البيداء والحضر
Your Master, oh my Master, mourns you,
The nomads in the deserts and cities alike.
والخلق والايمان والكبر
والمجد والاخلاص والظفر
And all people, faith, dignity,
Glory, devotion, triumph,
والشمس والافلاك والقمر
والجن والاملاك والشجر
The sun, the planets, the moon,
Jinn, angels and trees.
آل الحسين اللَه يكلؤكم
أضنتكم الاحداث والغير
Family of Hussein, God protect you,
Events and others have made you grieve.
