At times proclaiming
تارة يحكين همساً
واوانا معلنات
Bowing their heads at times
At other times holding them high
مطرقات الروس حينا
واوانا رافعات
Silent yet speaking
Slowing yet hastening
صامتات ناطقات
مبطئات مسرعات
Bare yet covered
Veiled yet exposed
لابسات عاريات
محجبات سافرات
Glancing, walking only glancing
Where are those with modest glances?
لافتات الطرف لا يمشين
الا لافتات
With movements unrestrained
By modesty unconstrained
اين منهن اللواتي
طرفهن قاصرات
And glowing cheeks
And prominent breasts
من تفته الحركات
لم تفته اللفتات
And supple waists
And bodies adorned
والخدود الناضرات
والنهود البارزات
And roving eyes
And speaking lips
والقدود المائسات
والزنود المعلمات
Memories of the feast—oh, what
Wounds and gashes for the heart!
والعيون الناظرات
والشفاه الناطقات

ذكريات العيد يا لل
قلب من ذي الذكريات
