1. سائقَ العيس هَلْ تُريح الرِكابا

    حيثُ رَبعي أُمَيمَة و رَبابا

    Does the driver give respite to the riders

    Where my quarter Umm Umaimah and Rabab

  2. فلتلك الرسوم تحكي خطوطاً

    ولتلك الديار تحكي الكِتابا

    So those features tell lines

    And those homes tell the book

  3. علَّنا ان نبِلٌ حَرٌ غليل

    زادَ بالبَينِ حُرقةً وألتهابا

    We hope that we are noble, free, sick

    The separation increased burning and inflammation

  4. حيثُ تغدو مدامعي كقطارٍ

    وجفوني تروح تحكي السحابا

    Where my tears go like a train

    And my eyelids go and tell the clouds

  5. سائلا ً والمجيب سائل دمعي

    هل ترى ويك سائل قد اجابا

    Asking and the answering tear asks me

    Do you see the asker has answered

  6. مَن عذيري من العذول سحيرا

    اذ رأى الدمع ليس يفنى إنصِبابا

    Who excuses me for being fascinated

    When he saw the tear does not stop flowing

  7. كيفَ أصغي لِعاذلٍ لَستُ أدري

    خطأً قال في الهوى أمْ صوابا

    How can I listen to a blamer I do not know

    He said wrongfully in love or right

  8. ليس يرجو بذاك قرب حبيب

    كيف ترجو من الحبيب إقتِرابا

    He does not hope to get close to the beloved with that

    How can you hope for the beloved to get close

  9. سلبَ القلب طرفه إذ رَماني

    سهم عشقٍ مسدداً فأصابا

    He robbed the heart of its edge when he hit me

    With an arrow of love aimed so it struck

  10. لا تلوماه سالباً ولتلوما

    اظلعي حيث أمكنَتهُ إستلابا

    Do not blame him for robbing and blame

    The tattoo where he was able to snatch

  11. قد اصيب الفؤاد بالعشق لَّما

    خفت للعين اذ رنت أن تُصابا

    The heart was struck with love when

    My eye feared that it would be hit

  12. اين تلك القباب من ارض نجدٍ

    أترى البين حلّ تلك القبابا

    Where are those domes from the land of Najd

    Do you see the separation settled those domes

  13. لك في الحيّ نظرة لمهاتٍ

    راهب الدير لو رآها تصابى

    You have a look at lively mothers

    If a monk saw her, he would shiver

  14. لو رأى الغصن قدَّها ما تثنٌى

    حين تهتزّ نشوة وشبابا

    If the branch saw her swaying with delight and youth

    It would not bend when she sways with euphoria and youth
