1. قلبنا الخفاق يأبى موطنا

    ريحه العاصف تأبى مسكنا

    Our throbbing heart refuses a homeland

    Its raging wind refuses a dwelling

  2. ليس من هند وروم قلبنا

    ما سوى الإسلام فيه أرضنا

    Our heart is not from India or Rome

    Nothing but Islam is our land

  3. كعب الشاعر في خير العباد

    أنشد المدحة من بانت سعاد

    Ka'b the poet in the best of worshippers

    Recited praise, when Saad appeared

  4. نظم الدر منيرا في ثناه

    من سيوف الهند سيفا قد دعاه

    He strung pearls beautifully in his praise

    Of swords of India, he called one a sword

  5. من على الأفلاك فيه رفعة

    لم ترقه لبلاد نسببه

    Above the celestial spheres in it is an elevation

    His lineage did not make him incline to countries

  6. قال سيف من سيوف الله قل

    يا نصير الحق زورا لا تقل

    He said a sword from Allah's swords, say

    O supporter of truth, do not speak nonsense

  7. وكذا كم قال ذو القدر العلي

    من سناه كحل عين الرسل

    And so much the one of high status said

    Whose brilliance is the eye of messengers

  8. لي من دنياكم قد حببا

    بعض ما فيها حلالا طيبا

    I have from your world beloved

    Some of what is in it, lawful and good

  9. إن تكن سر المعاني تعلم

    فافهم النكتة في دنياكم

    If you know the secret of meanings, understand

    The subtle point in your world

  10. كان في الدنيا وفيها ما سكن

    ذلك المشرق في ليل الزمن

    He was in the world and in it he dwelt

    That radiance in the night of time

  11. من سناه قد تجلى العالم

    مشرقا إذ كان طينا آدم

    Whose brilliance the world shone

    Radiant when Adam was clay

  12. لست أدري ما حماه والوطن

    أنا دار أنه فينا سكن

    I do not know what protected him and the homeland

    That he dwelt within us

  13. قد رأى في أرضنا دنيا لنا

    وهو في الدنيا كضيف بيننا

    He saw in our land a world for us

    And he in the world like a guest among us

  14. إذ أضعنا القلب في هذا اليباب

    وفقدنا النفس في هذا التراب

    When we lost heart in this ruin

    And we lost soul in this dust

  15. لا تحد الأرض قلب المسلم

    لا يرى في تيه أني وكم

    The land does not limit the Muslim's heart

    He does not see in wanderings, where am I and you

  16. ليس للمسلم في الأرض عطن

    حائر في قلبه كل وطن

    The Muslim has no special place in the land

    Confused in his heart every homeland

  17. حصل القلب ففي وسعته

    ضل هذا الكون في فسحته

    If the heart succeeds then in its expanse

    This universe strayed in its space

  18. عقدة الأقوام حل المسلم

    هجر الدار الإمام الأعظم

    The nations' knot, the Muslim untied

    The Greatest Imam abandoned the abode

  19. أمة ملء الدنى قد أسسا

    جعل التوحيد فيها أسسا

    A nation filling the world they founded

    Making monotheism in it tenets

  20. صارت الأرض لدينا مسجدا

    إذ أشاع الفضل فينا وهدى

    The earth became for our religion a mosque

    When virtue spread among us and guidance

  21. ذلك المحمود في الذكر الحكيم

    ذلك المحفوظ بالله الرحيم

    That Praiseworthy in the Wise Remembrance

    That Protected by Allah, the Merciful

  22. تفزع الأعداء من هيبته

    في ارتعاد من سنا طلعته

    The enemies shudder from his awe

    In trembling from the rising of his brilliance

  23. فلماذا أرض أهليه هجر

    أتراه خشية الأعداء فر

    Why then did he abandon his homeland

    Did he fear the enemies so flee

  24. حجب القصاص معنى القصة

    غلطوا في فهم معنى الهجرة

    Vengeance obscured the story's meaning

    They erred in understanding emigration's meaning

  25. هجرة شرع حياة المسلم

    هجرة سر ثبات المسلم

    Emigration a law, the Muslim's life

    Emigration the Muslim's steadfastness secret

  26. إنها التسيار نحو الوسعة

    ولأجل اليم ترك القطرة

    It is traversing toward the expanse

    And for the pain, leaving the drop

  27. اهجر الزهرة أجل الروضة

    إن هذا الخسر ربح الكثرة

    Abandon the flower for the garden's sake

    Surely this loss is abundant gain

  28. شرف الشمس مسير مطلق

    فيه من فوق البرايا تخفق

    The sun's honor is unrestrained course

    In it above the plains fluttering

  29. لا تكن نهرا من السحب يمد

    وكن البحر عبابا لا يحد

    Be not a river from clouds extending

    But the sea, endless billowing

  30. اقصدن تسخير كل العالم

    لترى سلطان أهل العالم

    Intend subjugating the entire world

    To see the Sultan of the world's people

  31. لا يقيدك مقام في الورى

    وكن الحوت يسيح الأبحرا

    No abode in existence confines you

    And be the whale roaming the seas

  32. كل من حرر من ذل الجهات

    فلك يزهر من كل الجهات

    All who are freed from regions' humiliation

    For you the universe flourishes from all regions

  33. ترك الورد شذاه فسرى

    في فسيح المرج عطرا نشرا

    The rose left its fragrance so it spread

    In the open meadow, diffusing scent

  34. يا أسيرا قد ثوى في روضة

    عند ليبا هائما في وردة

    O prisoner who dwelt in a garden

    Wandering infatuated in a rose

  35. سيرن نفسك حرا كالصبا

    ثم عانق كل أزهار الربى

    Set your soul free like the zephyr

    Then embrace all the meadows' flowers

  36. احذرن من خدعة العصر الجديد

    التباس النهج حاذر يا رشيد

    Beware deception of the new age

    Confusion of approach, beware O insightful one
