1. فرح الزمان فضاء بالأنوار

    بعد المزاج بظلمة الأكدار

    The time rejoiced in a space full of lights

    After the mood in the darkness of sorrows

  2. وتهللت هاماته فرحاً بما

    قد شاهدت بحر علم جار

    And its desires rejoiced at what

    It had seen, a sea of flowing knowledge

  3. وكذا الشهور توشحت وتسربلت

    بثياب أفراح من الأسفار

    And so did the months dress and cloak

    Themselves in clothes of joys from journeys

  4. ثمّ الليالي كلما مرّت لنا

    فكأنهن كواكب الجبّار

    Then the nights, whenever they passed us

    Were like the stars of the Almighty

  5. قلنا له يا ذا الزمان فما الذي

    لا قيت حتى لحت بالأنوار

    We said to it, O time, what is it

    That clad you in lights till you shone?

  6. فأجابنا أوما رأيتم سيّداً

    قد شاع في البلدان والأمصار

    It answered us: Have you not seen the master

    Whose fame spread in countries and towns?

  7. فعُمان قد شرّفت به وبسّره

    نالت به فضلاً على الأقطار

    So Oman was honored by him and his joy

    And gained virtue over all regions

  8. فأتت إليه الخلق منه ترتوي

    من بحره الفيّاض بالأسرار

    And people came to him to quench their thirst

    From his abundant sea of mysteries

  9. وتزاحمت جلّ الخلائق عنده

    فسقاهمو من فيضه المدرار

    And most of the creations crowded around him

    And he quenched them from his flowing grace

  10. فهو الذي نال السيادة والعلى

    والعز والفخر العظيم السّاري

    He is the one who gained supremacy and loftiness

    And might, honor, and spreading nobility

  11. ذو العلم ثم الحلم والكرم الذي

    لا ينتهي عن كلّ ذي أقتار

    Of knowledge, then forbearance and generosity that

    Does not cease for all with diadems

  12. لا عيب فيهم غير أنّ دموعهم

    تجري على الأعضاء كالأمطار

    No fault in them except that their tears

    Flow down their limbs like rain

  13. فجزاهم ربّ العباد بجنّةٍ

    تجرى لهم من تحت بالأنهار

    So may their Lord reward them with a Paradise

    Underneath which rivers flow

  14. يا قطبنا المرجو عند عضيلةٍ

    غوث لمن في أمره محتار

    O our hoped-for pole in times of distress

    A savior for one confused in his matter

  15. أنت الذي سمّيت باسم محمّدٍ

    عمر سُلاسلة صفوة القهّار

    You who were named with the name of Muhammad

    Lives on, elite of the Almighty

  16. حزت السّيادة والكرامة والتقى

    والفضل والأمداد بالتذكار

    You have attained sovereignty, benevolence, piety

    Virtue, aid and remembrance

  17. والنّور عمّ جميع أرضكم التي

    حازت بك البركات بالأسرار

    And light has covered all your land that

    Gained blessings and secrets

  18. وكذا الملائكة الكرام تحفّ من

    بالذّكر عجّ ولاذ بالأذكار

    And so do the honorable angels throng

    In mention, supplication and remembrance

  19. بالذّكر تحيي كلّ قلب غافل

    يا فوز من للذكر في إجهار

    With remembrance you revive every heedless heart

    O victory for one who loudly remembers!

  20. أنت الذي أعطاك ربك رفعة

    تعلو السّماك ككوكب سيّار

    You, whom your Lord gave loftiness

    That rises above the sky like a planet

  21. وكذا الكرامات التي شهدت بها

    العقلاء والنبلاء بالأبصار

    And so are the miracles that testified to you

    That the wise and noble saw with their eyes

  22. والحاسدون المبغضون رماهمو

    ربّي بسلب السّمع والأبصار

    And the envious haters, God deprived them

    Of hearing and sight when they denied God's grace

  23. إذا انكروا فضل الإله أضلّهم

    إبليس بالتّزيم والأغرار

    When they rejected the grace of God, Satan led them astray

    With delusion and deception

  24. حاز الخلافة من أبيه وجدّه

    عالي المقام وسيد الأخيار

    He attained the caliphate from his father and grandfather

    Of high station and master of the righteous

  25. فهدي الأنام إلى الطريق فأصبحوا

    متيممين لحضرة الغفّار

    So he guided people to the path and they became

    Seeking the presence of the Forgiver

  26. وهو الذي للدين كان مؤيداً

    بدلائل القرآن والآثار

    And he is the one who supported religion

    With proofs from Quran and tradition

  27. لولاه صار النّاس أهل بدائع

    بدلالة الجهّال والأشرار

    Were it not for him, people would become followers of innovations

    Misguided by the ignorant and evil

  28. فأزال عنهم كلّ زيغ دامغ

    وحبا قلوبهم بذكر الباري

    So he removed from them every persisting deviation

    And drew their hearts to remembering the Creator

  29. فترى مريديه الذين تمسّكوا

    بهداه بين الخلق كالأقمار

    Thus you see his followers who held fast

    To his guidance among people like moons

  30. وترى الذين تباعدوا عن قربه

    حسداً كأنّهمو كلاب النّار

    And you see those who distanced themselves from his presence

    Out of envy, like the dogs of Hell

  31. إن عاينوه تملّقوا بمحبَّةٍ

    والقلب منهم دائم الأنكار

    If they saw him, they pretended affection

    While their hearts were constantly denying

  32. يا فوز من بالقرب نال محبّةٍ

    من سيّد وأتى لذي الأنوار

    O victory for one who attained affection through nearness

    To a master and came to the one of lights

  33. في حضرة الأملاك والأقطاب

    والأبدال والأنجاب والأخيار

    In the presence of angels, poles, substitutes, assistants and the righteous

    As well as the knowing, the elite, and the chosen ones

  34. وكذلك العرفاء والنقباء

    والأوتاد ثم عصابة المختار

    They are the men whom the Lord of all dignified

    Above the rest of mankind

  35. فهمو الرجال هموا الذين أعزّهم

    ربّ الورى عن سائر الأغيار

    My master, I have come to draw

    From your abundant mystery of secrets

  36. يا سيّدي إني أتيتك أستقي

    من سرّك الفيّاض بالأسرار

    So turn to a servant who has come overwhelmed

    By crimes of sins and burdens

  37. فاعطف لعبد قد أتى مستغرقاً

    بجرائم الآثام والأوزار

    None despair of your side, protected

    For you are a branch of the purest souls

  38. لا خاب من بجنابكم مستمسك

    إذ أنت فرع عصابةٍ أطهار

    And the prayers of my Lord always

    Be with the chosen one, the best of mankind

  39. وصلاة ربّي مع سلام دائماً

    للمصطفى خير الورى ذي الغار

    And so on his companions and progeny

    For they are guiding stars of the righteous

  40. وكذلك الأصحاب مع آلٍ له

    فهمو نجوم سادة الأبرار

    And those who walked in their path

    My masters and supporters

  41. وكذا على من في طريقتهم مشى

    في دربهم هم سادتي أنصاري

    And Muhammad said it, a son to one

    Named Hamoud the earner of burdens

  42. ومحمد قد قالها نجلٌ لمن

    سمَّى حمود كاسب الأوزار

    She appeared smiling when she saw

    A face whose light is upon lights

  43. خود بدت فتبسّمت لما رأت

    وجهاً له نور على الأنوار

    Her dowry is only your acceptance, my master

    For your acceptance removes my shame

  44. ما مهرها إلا قبولك سيّدي

    فقبولها منكم يقيل عثاري

    Then peace be upon all who take refuge

    In your side for frequent remembrance

  45. ثم السلام لكلّ شخص لائذٍ

    بجنابكم للذكر ذي اكثار
