قف بالرفاعة ساعة يا حادي
واقرأ السلام أهيل ذاك النّادي
Stand for a while, O messenger, at Al Refaa
And convey greetings to the people of that neighborhood
واستوعبن سكانها بتحيّة
فهمو محلّ محبّتي وودادي
Embrace its inhabitants with salutations
For they are the object of my love and affection
واخصص أخي من بينهم بدراً أضا
قد عم منه النّور كلّ بلاد
And single out, among them, my brother Badr
From whom light has spread to every land
نجل الفخام مبارك بن عليّ من
سبق الكرام وفاق كلّ جواد
Son of the eminent Mubarak bin Ali
Who surpassed the generous and outshone every nobleman
حاوي الفضائل ذو المكارم والوفا
والجود والإحسان والإرشاد
Possessing virtues, generosity, loyalty
Kindness, guidance and righteousness
بحر العلوم وكنز كلّ فضيلة
سيف بوجه الزّيغ والإلحاد
A sea of knowledge and trove of every merit
A sword in the face of heresy and unbelief
غيث إذا ضنّ السحاب بفضله
غوث لكلّ ميّمم مرتاد
A rain when the clouds withheld their bounty
Succor for every disadvantaged wayfarer
مذ غلت الأيدي إلى أعناقها
فيداه قد بسطت بكلّ نجاد
When hands were miserly to their necks
His hands were open to every supplicant
أوسدّت الأبواب عن أضيافها
فمحلّه قد حف بالورّاد
Doors were shut to guests
Yet his abode was thronged with visitors
تلقاه رحباً للوفود إذا بدت
فرحاً بها من رائح أو غادي
He welcomed delegations when they appeared
Rejoicing at their coming and going
بثراكمو أهل الرّفاعة فزتمو
بجوار هذا الكوكب الوقّاد
O people of Al Refaa, pride yourselves
On companionship with this guiding star
شهم تقلد بالعلوم جميعها
وقد ارتدى بالحلم والإرفاد
He has mastered all branches of knowledge
And is clothed in wisdom and composure
لله من ساد الكرام مكانة
فعلاً على الأقران والأضداد
God has granted him a station above his peers
Supreme over rivals and adversaries
يا من يريد سعادة الدارين لذ
بجنابه فتفوز بالأسعاد
O you who seek the happiness of two abodes
Cleave to his side, and you will attain bliss
فدبي قد شرّفت به وأهليها
اعترفوا بسؤدده بلا ترداد
Dubai gained esteem through him and its people
Acknowledged his leadership without doubt
بمبارك زهت الرفاعة وارتقت
رتباً رفيعات بلا تعداد
With Mubarak, Al Refaa gained splendor and rose
To the highest ranks beyond measure
هو مورد العلماء والأدباء قد
شهدت له بالفضل كل بلاد
He is the recourse of scholars and literati
All lands bear witness to his virtue
هو في الحديث وسنّة المختار لا
أحدٌ يدانيهِ وفي الإسناد
In Hadith and Sunnah of the Chosen One
None can match him, with unbroken chains
فالله أرجو أن يطيل بقاك يا
قمراً على كلّ الأماكن بادي
So God, I hope you lengthen his life
A moon shining on all places remaining
يا ابن الأماجد قد أتتك خريدة
شحيّة حازت لكلّ سداد
O son of glorious ancestors, you were brought
A meager gift, aspiring to aptness
فانظر إليها بالقبول فإن تنل
منكم قبولاً ذاك كل مرادي
So look on it approvingly, and if you
Accept it, that is the sum of my desire
ثم الصّلاة على النبي وآله
والصحب والأتباع والأسياد
Then prayers be on the Prophet and his kin
Companions, followers and all nobles
ما قال معترف بنقص مقاله
قف بالرّفاعة ساعةٍ يا حادي
One confessing his words' inadequacy said
