صلاةُ ربِّي مَعَ السَّلاَمِ
عَلَى حَبِيبِي خَيْرِ الأَنَامِ
My Lord's prayer and salutations
Upon the best of all creations
بادي الشَّفُوفِ داني القُطوفِ
بَرٍّ عَطوفِ ليْثٍ هُمامِ
Of gentle manners, giver of bounties
Kind, compassionate, brave lion
ذاك النبيُّ الهاشميُّ
ذاك العليُّ الهادي التَّهامِ
That Prophet of Hashim
That rightly-guided Guide, Ali
ذاك الرفيعُ الغَوْث المنيعُ
ذاك الشفيعُ يومَ القيامِ
The exalted, mighty Savior
The intercessor on Judgment Day
عينُ الكمالِ عينُ الجمالِ
قُطبُ الجلال قُطبُ الكرامِ
The perfection of glory, the perfection of beauty
Pole of Majesty, Pole of Generosity
نافي الضلالِ ضافي الظلال
صافي الزُّلالِ لكلّ ظامِ
Dispeller of misguidance, bearer of shade
Pure water for all who thirst
جَمُّ الخِصالِ جَمُّ المَعالي
جَمُّ النَّوالِ نَدَاهُ هامِ
Embodiment of all virtues, summit of glories
Abundance of gifts, his fame exalted
زين الخلالِ زين الرجالِ
زينُ الفعَالِ زَينُ الأسامِ
Adornment of manners, pride of all men
Doer of deeds, beauty of names
عالي المنارِعالي الفَخارِ
عالي النّجارِعالي المقامِ
Of lofty minaret, of great pride
Carpenter on high, of sublime station
بَدْرُ السُّعودِ وافي الوُعُودِ
وافي العُهُودِ وافي الذمامِ
Full moon of good fortune, keeper of promises
Keeper of covenants, reaching every corner
قُطبُ الوُجودِ مُغْنى الوُفود
مُدنى الأسودِ إلى الحِمامِ
Pole of existence, goal of all pilgrims
Refuge of the black-robed at dawn
هادي العباد هادي الأيادِ
جالِ الأعبادي جالِ الظلامِ
Guide of servants, guide of hands
Ornament of worshippers, in the darkness gleaming
حام الحقائق غوثُ الخلائق
صافِ الخلائق كافِ الزُّنامِ
Protector of realities, savior of creations
Purest of creations, fold of resolutions
أسْنى الوَسائلْ أسْنى المحافلْ
مُسْدى الجلائلْ مُرْدى اللئامِ
Best weapons, best assemblies
Strong fortress, hero unfazed
طَوْدُ الجلاَلَهْ بادي البسالهْ
نجْمُ الرِّسالهْ بَدْرُ التمامِ
Star of message, full moon of perfection
Easy manners, gatherer of traits
سَهْلُ السّجايا جَمُّ المَزايا
بينَ البَرايا وسطَ النّظامِ
Amidst servants, arrangement exemplary
Revealer of wonders, granter of wishes
مبدى العَجائبْ مُهدي الرغائبْ
له كتائبْ أسْدُ اللّطامِ
With battalions like lions fierce
Face of events, greens of meadows
سُودُ الوقائعْ خُضرُ المرابعْ
بِيضُ الشرائع حُمْرُ السِّهامِ
White of divine law, red of arrows
A beautiful face, a glance coy
وجْهٌ جَميلٌ طرْفٌ كحيلُ
ظِلٌ ظليلُ على الأنامِ
A shade cooling, over all people
Prideful lineage, lasting glory
فخرٌ أصِيلُ مَجدٌ أثيلُ
خَدٌّ أسِيلُ في الفخرِ سامِ
Soft cheek, in pride sublime
Ancient honor, straight guidance
عِزٌّ قدِيمُ هَدْىٌ قوِيمُ
وَجْهٌ كريمُ على السّلامِ
A noble face, greeting with peace
Great stature, solid glory
جاهٌ عَظيمُ مجدٌ صَميم
جودٌ عَميمُ بلا انصرامِ
Bounty inclusive, without end
Nature luminous, character fair
خلْقٌ صَبيحُ خُلْقٌ مَليحُ
نُطقٌ فصيحُ أسنى الكلامِ
Speech eloquent, finest words
Courageous helper, rain abundant
ليتٌ جريءُ غيثٌ مربئُ
غَوْثٌ بَريءُ من كلّ ذامِ
Innocent savior from any blame
Trustworthy guide, fortress secure
هادٍ أمينُ حِصْنٌ حَصِينُ
حَبْلٌ مَتينُ بلا انفِصامِ
Unsevered rope, without end
Aid unlimited, pride unmatched
ناءٍ مَداهُ هامٍ نَدَاهُ
مُولٍ عِداهُ حَدّ الحُسامِ
Generosity famed, till swords' edges
And clear miracles
و المعجزاتِ المبيناتِ
المحكاتِ الغُرّ السَّوامِ
Indisputable proofs, piercing resolve
My eternal God adorned him so
أبدي الإلهُ سَنا حُلاهُ
زارتْ عُلاهُ ظبا الموامِ
As mountain goats visited him
Wolf and calf submitted
والذئبُ عنَّا والجذعُ حَنَّا
له وأنَّا كالمستهامِ
As we do, overawed
The moon split for he who ascended so high
والبدْرُ شُقّي لمن تَرَقى
وباتَ يُلقى بالاحترامِ
To be received with utmost respect
The boulder greeted and the sky darkened
والصّخرُ سَلَّمْ والجوُّ أظلمْ
له تكلَّمْ موتى الرِّجامِ
At his behest the dead spoke
The well burst and the flock strode
والبئرُ فارَتْ والسَّرْحُ سارتْ
دَعى فصارتْ خُصباً أزامِ
He called and the land turned fertile
The ewe lengthened and the sun eclipsed
والشاةُ أبدَتْ والشمْسُ رُدّتْ
له أُعِدَّتْ دارُ السَّلامِ
The abode of peace for him made ready
Milk and beasts in service drew near
والضّرْعُ دَرًّا والوحشُ قَرّا
له أقرَّا ضَبُّ الإكامِ
The obedient trees and rain poured down
At his gesture, to the clouds
والجذْعُ خارا والغيثُ فارا
لمَّا أشارَا إلى الغمامِ
Signs of Taha, none can surpass
Nor exhaust, for all time
آياتُ طه ليْسَتْ تُباهي
ولا تَناهي على الدَّوامِ
My heart is filled with longing for him
With the most fragrant peace be he blessed
قلبي لديْهِ شَوْقي إليهِ
يَزْكو عليهِ أزْكى السّلامِ
Since the days turned my inner youth
Fragrant and the doves all lamented
ما الدهرَ لاحتْ ذُكىً وفاحت
صَباً وناحَتْ وُرْقُ الحمَامِ
Peace upon the Imam best of men
Fullest peace from true peace
عَلَى الإمامِ أعْلى الأنامِ
أنْمى السلامِ من السلامِ
I'm elated by the best worshipper
Seeking from him the greatest hopes
إني لشادِ خَيْرِ العِبادِ
راجي أيادِ مِنهُ عِظامِ
O He who granted him those gifts
And chose him, grant me my wishes
يا مَنْ حَباهُ بما حباهُ
ثمَّ اصْطفاهُ هب لي مَرامي
Lord, erase my misdeeds
For in You is my fortressed refuge
رَبّ امْحُ عَني ما كَان مني
سُوءًا فإني بك اعْتِصامي
Forgive my sins and revive my heart
For You, my Lord, revive the bones
وحُط ذنبي وأحْي قَلبي
فأنْتَ رَبي مُحيي العِظامِ
Absolve my sins and veil my faults
Relieve my sorrows and forgive my crimes
كفّرْ ذنوبي واستُرْ عُيوبي
واكشف كروبي واغفرْ أثامي
Fulfill Your blessings, so we thank You
And forgive the lapsed, by this Imam
حَقّقْ مُنانا فيكَ امتنانا
واغفر خَنانا بذا الإِمامِ
Save us from afflictions, open for us
Abundant gifts, paths of peace
قِنا البَلايا وافتحْ لنايا
جَمَّ العَطايا سُبْلَ السَّلامِ
And grant us, Lord of servants all
A good end when we die
وارزقْ لَنايا بارِي البرايا
عِندَ المنايا حُسْنَ الخِتامِ
