وعميل باع فينا الوطنا

وارتمى في الذل وحلا منتنا

A traitor among us sold the homeland

And flung himself into disgrace, stinking

نسي الحقل الذي أبدعه

وجنى منه الشذى والسوسنا

He forgot the field that he cultivated

And reaped from it lilies and jasmine

وتغذى المجد كأساً مترعا

وتحسى الحب كأساً مؤمنا

He was nourished with glory in his cup

And felt love in his faithful cup

ثمن الأوطان أن تمنحها

فوق ما تعطيك فيها من منى

The price of homelands is to grant them
