O ancient temple of love
And the most sacred of sanctuaries
Love is an eternal Lord
Whose prayers are answered
With many worshippers and a frequent descent
His revelation fills scriptures
And every land has a temple
With wide courtyards for His worshippers
If only He who created the worlds
Would end with a frown
For death in old age
Is a hated, worst torture
Oh how I wish my upbringing and growth
Were like a butterfly or a speck
So I die without yearning
Or gloom and turmoil
Life after youth
Is sorrow that weeps for youth
Leave wishes and if only’s
For those who hope in both have failed
People pass like debris
And turn to dust
O universe do not end mankind
For tomorrow you will turn to ruin
Indeed that which is made from mist
Will vanish like the mist
Do not cry over the universe's greed
For its people are like wolves
Hunting and tearing apart those
Who have no dogs left by eventide
