وعيدٌ أتى راقِـصًا باسِـمَا

لأُهديكِ حُبًا بحجمِ السما

A holiday came dancing gracefully

I will gift you love the size of the sky

وأهفو إليكِ لأقطِفَ وردًا

ندِيًّا على وَجنَتيْكِ ارتمى

And I will gently pluck you roses

Throwing myself eagerly upon your cheeks

ففِي كُل عيدٍ تزيدِينَ قُربًا

لقلبي، وتزدادُ روحي ظما

For with every holiday you come closer

To my heart, and my soul grows bigger

فأحلمُ أنّا نطيرُ سويًا

نعانِقُ في أُفْقِنا الأنجُما

So I dream that we fly together

Embracing in our starry horizon

ونرقصُ فوق الربى والتلالِ

كمُغرمةٍ راقصـتْ مُغرما

And we dance above the hills and meadows

Like a lover dancing with her beloved

دعيني أعيشُ بحُلمي قليلًا

فبعضُ السعادةِ أن نَحلُما

Let me live in my dream a little

For some happiness is just to dream
