I wish my fire would lurk within me

Containing me, without seeing you saddened

Love was born intensely in my heart

So forgive me if I lose my serenity

It sways in my mind like a wave

So when it rages I become like a ship

Please do not pretend, please do not pretend

You have some spite against me

God knows what the heart complained of hatred

God would have fulfilled if I had complained of a mulberry tree!

All that is in me is that I am obsessed

A mountain that stored up sad waters

Love gets angry between my ribs out of love

And hides its yearning beneath aloofness

And the bird of my heart sings a melody

While it hides the moaning with the singing

I am fire as you saw, and light

I entered the paradise of love and its madness!

My fate is to live love secretly

The pleasure of love is for it to remain hidden!

Affection fed my pulsating heart gently

Whoever touched the eyelids tasted a fountain

It has to me bright ideas

And treasures behind the ribs, precious!

Love resided in me, a bedouin poet

And instilled in me its sorrows

If love built homes in hearts

It would have built for me in my heart a city!!
