The mother slept beside her daughter
And all were drowned in slumber
Then they whispered to each other
Of the whispers of girls and mothers!
The mother said: Oh my daughter, shame on you!
Shame on you, you spotted snake!
If not for you I wouldn't be complete, but
I would still be an untouched virgin branch
You have a pillar built by my demise
And a life revived by my death
I wish I could, I would kill you, so
I can taste what I tasted of my blood
The daughter said: Oh mother dear, shame on you!
You frown-faced, despicable thing!
How much longer do you want me to live as you
Used to live in the olden days?
You are a heavy knot in my heel
And a veil between me and bliss
I wish I could, oh mother,
Kill you, so I can smell the breeze!
The mother woke up and said:
My daughter, my dove, embrace me
Her daughter embraced her, then said:
You are my soul, and my comfort. Kiss me!
