ولما علمت الأمر بالستر ظاهراً

تيقّنت كون الظهر للعصر ساترا

When I knew the matter was hidden in the veil

I was certain that the back covers the chest

وطهّرتُ ظهراً بالتيمّم باطناً

مع الطهر كان العصر بالظهر ظاهرا

And I purified an inner back with intent

While purity, the time was apparent on the back

ومن غيب الظهرين صَلَّى لمغربٍ

عشاءً لك الإصباحُ من بعد ناظرا

And whoever prayed the absent two backs

An evening prayer, your morning will be watching

فخذها صلاةَ العارفين بطهرها

شهادتها والغيب إن كنت حاضرا

Take it, the prayer of the gnostics in its purity

Its witness and the unseen if you are present

وإلا فسلِّمها وإياك نُكرها

أَلَمَّا علمتَ الأمر بالستر ظاهرا

Otherwise, hand it over and I forbid you
