Whatever your eyes have embraced, moon,

Or a ray of sunset has kissed your cheek,

Or a breeze has gently rustled your hair at dawn,

Or a voice of joy has sung of love,

Or a raindrop has wet your hand,

Or a star of the south has smiled in the sky,

Or a rose has laughed on a green branch,

Or a morning breeze has brought you a scent,

Or a wave in the sea of the harbor

Has sought rest after a tiring day,

Or an old fantasy has prevailed,

Tempting the heart with its charming voice,

Or a cautious thought has dared in the night

To retrieve a dream from the path of escape—

Remember me and bring me back, poetry

Sincere in meaning...even if for a fleeting moment untrue.
