يَا مُشْبِهَاً فِي لَوْنِهِ فِعْلَهُ
لَمْ تَعْدُ مَا أَوْجَبَتِ القِسْمَهْ
O you who, in color, resemble your own conduct,
You have not exceeded what the allotment ordained:
ظُلْمُكَ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ مُسْتَخْرَجٌ
وَالظُّلْمُ مُشْتَقٌ مِنَ الظُّلْمَهْ
Your injustice is drawn from your very form,
And injustice itself is derived from darkness.
