يَا مُسْدِيَ العُرْفِ إسْرَارَاً وَإِعْلاَنَا
وَمُتْبِعَ البِرِّ وَالإِحْسَانِ إِحْسَانَا
O bestower of kindness, secretly and openly,
Who follows goodness and beneficence with yet more beneficence,
أَقْلِعْ سَحَابَكَ قَدْ غَرَّقْتَنِي مِنَنَاً
مَا أَدْمَنَ الغَيْثُ إِلاَّ كَانَ طُوفَانَا
Hold back your cloud—you have drowned me in favors;
For whenever rain persists, it becomes a flood.
