The roses in his cheeks blush more each dawn

For the eyes of his lover who praises the garden

His cheeks are like refreshing water

That reddens when the watcher looks upon them

    Some hope for heavenly paradise

While I hope for a scent or a kiss from him

He is a gazelle - the nearer I draw

The further he flees and recoils

I concealed my love till tears flowed free

And made of it talk heard far and wide
