With ample space for horses to prance and roam
Its expanse stretches wide, extending its arms
As though it were the open palm of a young man generous and giving
I have filled it with bright-faced youth
Gentle in manners and spirits
With slender waists like lamps
From every swimming, diving side
Suiting lightning and winds
It makes them fly without wings
Empty of neighing and hooves
With a radiance that laughs off any blemish
As though it were a night upon a morn
With blood, like that from wounds, running
A flood like arrows, streamed from a bow
I have rid them of harshness and spite
And the heavy darkness of pressing night
Intoxicated, they savored the winds’ delights
And continued their merriment with fruits
Oh, what carefree joy without restraint
Where jest is as one with earnest work
